Destruction - Chapter 4: weird meeting

"Damn, it’s been over two weeks of killing."  

At that moment, there was a young man, looking about 15 years old, eating the roasted meat of a beast. What was strange was the number of beast corpses, blood, and body parts scattered everywhere. It was a disgusting and grotesque scene, but the young man seemed to be enjoying his meal.  

In a slightly distant corner, there was a bird watching the young man with keen interest. Even though it was far away, the system noticed it. 

While I was eating the delicious meat of a bull, the system sensed something strange—I was being watched by a bird. Hahaha, what kind of nonsense is this?  

One of the system’s features is its long-range sensing ability, which is quite powerful for me at this point.  

Of course, I can sense about 2 kilometers around me, thanks to my training in the Essence Origin Realm.  

But the system can sense up to 5 kilometers, hahaha. What’s strange is its ability to analyze targets, like this dumb bird.  

The system found out it’s a shapeshifter watching me. That means it’s either a human or a beast using shapeshifter abilities. Hahaha.  

I’ve never met a shapeshifter before, so I thought I’d play with it a bit.  

Meanwhile, a sudden quest came from the system:  

‘Kill the Forest King and his followers.’  

Rewards: 100,000 system points plus a mysterious gift.  

Damn, more system nonsense. Honestly, I didn’t care about this quest because from the day I entered this forest, I decided to kill all the animals here.  

The problem is that the Forest King, the Hell Lion, is a full realm higher than me. He’s at the fourth level of the Sky Realm, and that’s a problem since those in the Sky Realm can fly.  

Ah, flying—it makes you feel free. Still, I prefer falling.  

Free-falling was something I used to do a lot back on Earth, hahaha.  

Of course, I can stay in the air for a while using my lightning powers, but it’s not real flying.  

I stood up and started my usual work hunting down beasts and killing them to gain experience and system points.  

But today, something strange happened—I suddenly realized that bird was still there. What’s weird is that it hasn’t returned to its original form even after all this time.  

Shapeshifting requires a lot of Essence energy, so does that mean this bird is highly trained?  

Alright, I decided to analyze its properties to figure out what was going on.

A Heavenly Beast, huh? So it’s special. Hahaha, this bastard has something odd about him.  

A bolt of lightning struck, closing the distance between us in an instant, and I appeared directly in front of him.  

It took him a moment, and his expression turned into one of shock.  

It was hilarious—imagine a small bird with a shocked expression. Hahaha, damn, I couldn’t hold in my laughter and burst out in hysterics in front of the bird.  

Suddenly, it transformed into a human. It was a young man, about 16 years old, with a strong build, carrying a sword on his shoulder.  

He looked like one of those heroes from Chinese movies.  

He spoke directly to me, “So you’re the reason I woke up from my sleep.”  

What the hell is this idiot talking about? Was he sleeping in a cave or something?  

I slowly reached my hand toward his face until I grabbed his entire face and whispered in his ear, "You bastard, spying is a bad thing. Aren’t you afraid I’ll gouge your eyes out?"  

The boy turned pale, but he wasn’t scared.  

Hahahaha, I started laughing again. What’s with this bastard—his body’s scared, but he himself isn’t? Interesting.  

He lifted his head and said, “Do you need help with the upcoming battle?”  

Huh? Battle? What’s this idiot talking about?  

Suddenly, the system’s voice echoed in my head:  

"There’s a beast rampage caused by an unknown reason." 

I told him, "How about a challenge? You and me.  

If you kill more beasts than me, I won’t kill you.  

But if I kill more than you, I’ll roast you—I don’t mind eating humans..."  

Interesting, he has extremely strong instincts.  

He froze for a moment, but he knew he couldn’t beat me in a fight, and oddly, he didn’t try to run.  

He rushed straight into the forest and started killing beasts, which got me excited. But no matter what, he was stealing my experience points, so I also rushed into the forest.  

There was a flood of beasts, and while Boros was preparing to unleash a powerful skill, the sky exploded with thunder, so loud that some of the beasts stopped moving out of fear.  

I was standing in the sky like I ruled everything. I raised my hand to the sky, and countless interwoven lightning spears appeared. The crackling of thunder echoed throughout the forest.  

"Damn you, filthy animals. You’re just experience points."  

CRAAACK!

The sky exploded with thunder, and the roar of the beasts filled the air. Many beasts were annihilated in one strike, and I rushed at them again. An enormous axe formed in my hand, made of energy, with both lightning and fire elements mixed together. It emitted high heat and intense pressure.  

This is the weapon I was forming from my own energy, but it’s still incomplete—far from it. I aspire to use all five elements and combine them to create my own weapon. I can’t wait until it’s finished.  

But for now, what matters are the experience points.  

I started killing the beasts alongside Boros as we competed. Over time, we began talking more, despite his instincts being fearful. He was speaking normally.  

What was amazing was that this person loves killing so much that he’s wanted throughout the empire.  

When I learned that, I knew I was going to have a good time. That’s why I thought about making him one of my subordinates.  

At that moment, the Forest King finally appeared with his army—many wolves, tigers, and lions.  

I looked at Boros and found him staring at me strangely.  

“What’s the matter?”  

He looked at me and said, "The Forest King is really strong. I can’t gauge his power level. How are we going to fight him?"  

It seems Boros has incredible instincts. That’s when I remembered the Heavenly Beast lineage.  

I looked at him and asked, "Why can you stay in your transformed state for so long?"  

He was shocked by the question and sighed in the end, "I don’t know."  

I thought he was lying and trying to hide his secret, but who cares?  

I wanted to scare him a little and said, "The Forest King is at the fourth level of the Sky Realm."  

I smiled widely as I looked at Boros, waiting to see his reaction.  

In the end, I was disappointed, but what Boros said shocked me. It seems he’s not stupid, at least.  

I hate being surrounded by the useless.  

If you don’t have an important role, I’ll rip your heart out myself.  

“From your calmness, I assume you can kill the Forest King. Commander, leave the minions to me. I’ll handle them."  

Damn, when did I become a commander? Hahaha, are you trying to escape your death?  

He looked at me and laughed, “Commander, I don’t even know you, but I understand you. Damn it, you’re the first person I’ve talked to like this. I feel like we’ll cause a lot of chaos together.”  

"You bastard, now you’re trying to gain benefits from me. It seems you’re tired of living."  

I let out a wicked laugh as I looked at him. It’s not like I had to kill him—he seemed to understand me.  

I was already thinking of gathering my own clan to destroy everything—the ‘Akagi Clan’.
