Episode 7

The moment Seojun defeated Ettore, he lost control of his body as a cutscene began playing.

"You hypocritical Assassin Order hound! I won't go down alone!"

"!"

But unlike Seojun, Dane—now controlling his body—couldn’t react immediately. Ettore, clinging to life, staggered into the bedroom and tore a piece of parchment.

KABOOM!

A violent explosion erupted nearby, staining the air crimson as if set ablaze.

"Dammit!"

When Dane looked outside, neighboring buildings erupted one after another, scattering flames and debris.

And if this continues, next is—!

CRASH!

Realizing this, Dane hurled himself through the window.

The scene cut to Ettore laughing behind him.

KABOOM!

As Dane shattered through the glass, an immense explosion engulfed his back in flames.

RIIIIING!

Tinnitus pierced his ears. With his face pressed to the grass and vision blurring...

"Over here! The terrorist’s here!"

In the distance, soldiers swarmed toward him through the haze.

Despite his dizziness, Dane forced himself up and ran.

He vaulted over the mansion’s fence, tripped, then scrambled onto a rooftop.

A chase unfolded.

Just as the distance grew and his vision cleared, an arrow struck his shoulder from behind.

A fireball spell followed, hitting him point-blank.

His mangled body finally plummeted into the nearby river.

An unknown figure watched silently.

The soldiers, seeing his fall, declared him dead and retreated. The scene shifted.

A man stared blankly at the sea.

As he rose to leave, a dark shape floating on the waves caught his eye.

Approaching cautiously, he realized it was a corpse.

He rifled through the body’s clothes and pocketed a brooch—an eagle soaring skyward, symbol of freedom.

After regaining control, Seojun checked the chat:

- Cutscene’s still the same ;-;

- Dane always dies lol

- MC’s out here looting corpses smh XDDD

He said what he’d been itching to:

"If it were me, I’d have deflected those arrows and spells."

- LMAOOOOOOO

- Ruining the moment XDDDD

- FR that’s so you

"Nah, using someone else’s face like that’s just wrong."

- FR tho XD

- He totally deserved it LOL

Seojun clapped his hands. "Alright, what now?"

He stood in a tavern. Christina from the tutorial wiped cups behind the counter.

"Guess I’m supposed to talk to her..."

As he approached, auto-dialogue triggered:

"Customer? Need something?"

"Need something? Yeah. A whole lot."

Christina tensed as Seojun slammed the brooch onto the counter. She snatched it, hid it, then scanned the room.

Finding no observers, she dragged him into an empty kitchen:

"Who are you?"

"Relax. I’m here to help."

"Help... how?"

"I take contracts. Specialize in assassinations."

"...How much do you know?"

"Everything. Your Order’s feud with the secret societies, their goals, their wars. I’ve fought those bastards in Sion."

"Don’t tell me... you’re from the west?"

"Correct."

"A mercenary who’ll do anything for money? Then you’re no ally of theirs. Let’s formalize this. I’m Christina."

"I’m..."

Seojun regained speech control.

- Oh, username time?

- Wait, was “Jin Seojun” your streamer name all along?

- Real names aren’t bad lol

His streamer handle was indeed his real name—he’d never changed it.

Streamer names could be anything: a friend’s name like "Kim Taewoo," a percussion instrument, or a tweaked meme.

Real names are safest.

Not like he knew how long he’d stream anyway.

As for his in-game name:

"Anonymous."

[Confirm ‘Anonymous’?]

It echoed a catchphrase from his past life.

Mumei—"no name," yet paradoxically iconic—had been wildly popular back then.

[Yes]

"Alright, Anonymous it is."

"How should I contact you when needed?"

"Wait, before that, I need to know where the owner of this brooch is."

"Buried at the western docks."

"I see. Got it."

Christina showed an indifferent reaction even after hearing about her colleague’s death.

Perhaps their line of work indirectly showcased how easily a person could die.

[From now on, you can accept assassination requests at ‘Taeyang’s Tavern’!]

"Use this to contact me."

[Obtained ‘Signal Stone’!]

Seo-jun received the item called Signal Stone and left the tavern.

-Suddenly Anonymous?

-Is the streamer’s nickname Anonymous from now on?

-How can someone’s name be Anonymous lololol

"Ah, Anonymous is just my in-game name. But I haven’t decided on a stream name yet, so I’ll stick with this for now. Call me whatever you like."

[Jin Seo-jun - 6 viewers]

-e

-Seoha!

-Kya! Anonymous! Such a fitting name for an assassin! GOAT!

"Alright! Then I’ll sign off for now. I’ll stream again at the same time tomorrow. T-, ahem. Tba."

Seo-jun cringed and stammered while trying to say "Tba."

-Lololol so cute

-Tba

-I’ll definitely come tomorrow.

"Uh, does the game save if I just quit?"

Games can be so confusing sometimes.

It’s definitely not because he’s getting old.

-Lololol you said you were leaving

-Just quit. For real.

-Ugh, such a noob lololol anyone would think it’s your first time gaming

Bam!

"Hey."

"Huh?"

"Is this you?"

Tae-woo clicked on the video to check it out.

"Anyone can tell it’s you."

They had entered the Assassin’s Dawn community.

The reason was a strange chat message that appeared in Seo-jun’s chat earlier.

-Should’ve come earlier if you wanted to see it lololol

While reviewing his stream, Seo-jun realized he hadn’t seen this chat during the broadcast. Checking the timestamp, it was posted a few minutes after he ended the stream.

So he scrolled up through the chat logs.

-Is this the massacre stream?

-Why is it offline?

There were many similar messages like these.

Seo-jun was baffled. There was no way people would come looking after the stream ended.

Of course, big-name streamers with widespread recognition might still get visitors even when offline.

But Seo-jun had just had 6 viewers.

So he asked Tae-woo, who had ended his stream around the same time, and found this post.

[Video of a noob who’s new to streaming and gaming parrying 1v13 in the tutorial, clearing trash mobs, and being the first in the Etor universe to clear it (no cap)]

(Footage of 1v13)

(Footage of first Etor massacre clear)

It was a clip carefully edited and posted by a user named Joseon’s Assassin.

‘That viewer from earlier.’

He was quite memorable—from recognizing Seo-jun’s skills early on to spamming the chat.

Seo-jun scrolled down to read the comments.

-Ugh BS, even the title screams cap

-Joam’s parrying is insane lol god-tier skills?

-Is this your first time gaming? Have some shame

└ But was he always this good?

└ Not me. It was Mr. Anonymous. The title isn’t cap at all.

"What kind of viewer gets a perfect clear on day one and starts promoting you? Impressive."

Tae-woo watched this and scoffed beside him.

"Promoting?"

"Yeah, what else would this be?"

Tae-woo scrolled down and highlighted another comment.

-Joam changed his avatar to something nicer since he started streaming… his old face was seriously…

└ Lmaooo subtle roast

"Wait. No, not that one."

-So who is this guy?

└ Here (channel link) go check him out ASAP. Dude’s insane.

-Is this really Etor’s first clear?

└ Yep. Was a total noob who couldn’t even climb walls properly before.

└ How is that even possible wtf

-Joam-nim, 10k-hour veteran of Assassin’s Dawn. Stop cosplaying as a noob.

└ It wasn't me!

Though clearly directed at the Assassin of Joseon, Seojun felt stung by the "noob cosplay" remark. But hey, Dawn of the Assassins was indeed a noob, so whatever.

Damn, their skills are insane lol

└ Just go rewatch the video (channel link) already! No-Name's our only hope for glory!

Seojun understood what Taewoo meant.

"So this is what they call marketing?"

"Pretty much. Your follower count must've shot up by now?"

Taewoo was right.

The 6 followers had somehow ballooned to over 60.

"Oh."

"And it'll hit 30 upvotes soon. Then it'll snowball faster. I'm hitting the sack."

The community forum had a filter for posts with over 30 upvotes.

Since most lurkers only browsed 30-upvote threads, the traffic gap between 10-up and 30-up posts was astronomical.

"Alright, sleep tight."

Seojun felt an inexplicable thrill.

The Assassin of Joseon's post surpassed 30 upvotes as Kim Taewoo predicted,

igniting the usual community frenzy.

Noob my ass, this is straight-up fake

└ How would you even fake this?

└ You think video editors don't exist? lol

└ So a 6-viewer streamer hacked the TRAVEL server? Bullshit lol That's crazier than killing Etorr!

People actually believe this? No-Name my ass smh

[Why No-Name's 30-up video is fake]

Because I can't do it!

LMAO salty kids spamming "fake" everywhere

But any decent pro could pull this off, right?

└ These clowns shifted gears fast. "Fake" → "Anyone can do it"

[Why No-Name's video is legendary]

Reasons veterans couldn't beat Etorr for a week:

Dain's designed as skillless civilian-lite. Tutorial forces no-skill play.

(Devs' intention probably)

Etorr's mace has no parry = no instakills. (Like most bosses - assassination-only instakills.)

The 5-minute time attack - real dealbreaker.

Most vets could survive normally.

But dodging EVERYTHING while nailing weak spots in 5 minutes?

Impossible without techniques like in that vid.

Before this, everyone thought it unviable. No one properly tested damage scaling.

Pros were busy anyway.

Streamer Seojun who one-shot it has cracked skills. Who parries a MACE from that range while going for the neck?

And he's a "noob"? What even IS he?

I kept gasping while watching. God-tier control. Who FIGHTS like that lololol

Instant subscribe.

Now that we know it's possible (gotta try myself), though I'll probably eat dirt.

TLDR) Pros were too busy to speedrun. Seojun's nothing special.

└ This guy needs oxygen, not grass

└ Watch the vid once. He'd wreck most pros.

└ Chill, one speedrun doesn't make you pro

Actual analysis +1

[Why hype a speedrun no one even tried? lol]

Written by someone who's never held a controller. Peak haterade.

Thanks to the Assassin of Joseon, Seojun became "No-Name" - debated hotly until consensus struck:

[If you think No-Name should stream NOW for verification, smash like lol]

Stream ended less than 3 hours ago

└ Then I'll suffocate waiting. DON'T STREAM. If fans die waiting, that's on YOU. (OP)

└ (Comment deleted)

└ Someone teach this clown what "consequences" mean lol
