Doom Breaker

-Doom Breaker: The Egoist.

Prologue: Rampage Dragon Shin Jagun
This is absolute bullshit.

My name is Shin Jagun, known as the Rampage Dragon, and I led the guild Ragnap. I cleared countless dungeons deemed impossible to conquer. The raid teams I led had never failed—until now. With fame and fortune in my grasp, I was called the strongest Raider.

“You… goddamn traitors!! Who the hell do you think I am?!” I roared, my voice shaking the earth and air.

The Eight Dragons of Ragnap—that’s what they called us, the eight elite guild members. Which meant seven dragons besides me. And they betrayed me.

Unbelievable. Normally, even all seven together couldn’t touch me in a fair fight. Not even with a sneak attack. But things weren’t going well today. Chance and necessity had aligned perfectly for them. These backstabbers had prepared meticulously, running simulations repeatedly until they found the perfect opportunity. Like seven hyenas circling a lone lion…

“If only our leader had treated us like family…”
“Let’s be honest—you were always human trash, weren’t you?”
“We had no choice, boss.”

They made it sound like reluctant betrayal. Pathetic excuses. I scoffed.

Would they have stayed loyal if I’d been kinder? If I’d shared loot more fairly? Bullshit. If I’d shown weakness, they’d have turned on me eventually.

Friends? Comrades? Family? More bullshit. In the end, we’re all alone.

I repeat: this is completely fucked. Even someone like me faces situations with no escape. This wasn’t about stubbornness—some obstacles can’t be overcome by willpower alone. Reality isn’t some shounen manga. There are limits.

Let me break it down:

  1. They stole my Seven Rampage Blades—summoned through secret techniques—only to bind me with anti-gravity magic.

  2. We’re mid-raid: behind me stand the Seven Traitorous Dragons; ahead looms the triple S-rank Chaos Demon, its aggro locked onto me.

  3. The boss room’s Anti-Divine debuff cripples me. My body bears blessings from seven gods via the Holy Grail quest—had I known, I’d have dispelled them first.

Even now, my mind races through battlefield analysis out of habit.
“Goddammit.”

The outlook is bleak—no chance of victory. With my last shred of pride, I snarled:
“When I return… I’ll slaughter every last one of you…”

An empty threat, but enough to pale some faces. At least they still feared me.
At least I won’t die by your hands.

I hurled myself at the Chaos Demon. It swallowed me whole.

A demon’s innards connect to another dimension. None return from the Abyssal Devourer’s void—its insta-kill technique. The darkness dissolves existence, eroding souls like digested food.
This won’t be my end. I’m Shin Jagun—Ragnap’s ruler, the Rampage Dragon! Who dares melt my mind?!

Only my will sustained me.
Why past tense? This is my recollection—I survived.

The 21st century intertwines Celestials, dungeons, and humans.
Celestials? The aliens who “saved” us from extinction in the 20th century, now lording over us as gods. I despise them. They watch us like toys, snuffing out or restoring lives on a whim.

(When I say “strongest,” I exclude these freaks who hacked life-death algorithms…)

A voice echoed in the desolate dark:
“Become my apostle,” said Isaac, self-proclaimed God of Chaos, “and I’ll free you.”

Thus I struck a pact with the worst entity for revenge:
The mightiest Raider, Shin Jagun—
Betrayed by his Seven,
Bound to Chaos God Isaac,
Endured mockery,
Surveyed ruins to rebuild,
Inhaled the abyss’ stench,
And vowed vengeance.
