Chae Hayoung posted an announcement on her YouTube channel community.
Teacher of the Hyungnim Class
Community
[Hello!
This is the Teacher of the Hyungnim Class.
Thanks to your love and support, I’ve become a trainee under SSHIN.
SSHIN is a company co-led by producer Shin Jiyoung and composer Yoo In.
Moving forward, composer Yoo In will arrange the songs I cover.
Please show lots of interest!]
-Wow, congrats! ^^
-Shin Jiyoung? Yoo In? I’ve heard those names.
-No way… Isn’t Yoo In the composer for Hadas’ songs? Legendary!
-This is amazing! You’re one step closer to your dream!
-Cheering for you! ^^
The Teacher of the Hyungnim Class, now with a 100,000-subscriber YouTube channel, uploaded a cover song shortly after the announcement.
[Blossom
Ladies
Cover by. Teacher of the Hyungnim Class
Arranged by. Yoo In]
The first cover was none other than Ladies’ Blossom—a song that became infamous after Taeein forced a comeback date to rival Alice and Hadas, only to be humiliated when Hadas outperformed them in rankings.
Blossom, which lost its original vision due to Taeein’s heavy-handed interference and became known for birthing a “red fairy,” was reborn through Yeonwoo’s reinterpretation.
-Wait… This is Blossom? Ladies’ first flop song?
-It’s a totally different track!
-At this point, isn’t this a remake, not just an arrangement? ;;
-Remodeling genius, fr fr
-This goes HARD.
-LOL but Yoo In’s wild—he bodied Hadas with his songs and now arranges this? Isn’t this just adding insult to injury?
-Digging up a corpse from the coffin to beat it again 💀
-Protect Ladies at all costs 😭😭😭
-Who is this girl? She’s insane.
-Her lower register is pure charisma.
-She looks unassuming, but her voice is fire.
-Such a rare tone.
-How is someone like her just a kindergarten teacher? LOLOL
-They say Korea’s full of hidden talent—guess it’s true.
The response exploded. Despite their recent album flopping, Ladies remained a top-tier girl group with a massive fandom.
Simply searching “Ladies” would trigger the algorithm, but covering Blossom—their most notorious flop—arranged by Yoo In, who’d humiliated them? Impossible not to click.
Some fans left hate comments, calling it mockery, while others blamed Taeein’s arrogance for the original disaster. A few even wished Ladies would perform Yoo In’s version themselves.
Thanks to the buzz, the Hyungnim Class channel’s subscribers skyrocketed.
Yeonwoo didn’t stop there. The world was full of songs drowning in “red fairies” or starved of “blue fairies”—utterly bland.
The second cover was Looking at the Sky, a ballad.
It had been a hit for its crystal-voiced singer but faced endless plagiarism claims. Yet none stuck—the chords were just laughably generic, recycled clichés anyone could use.
The singer escaped criticism, but the composer was mocked as a “copy-paste hack” chasing trends.
But in a way, the song’s polish proved its appeal—those overused chords were popular because they worked.
That's why it's not easy to mess with.
-Wow, Yoo In actually tackled that song?;;;
-Out of all the overused money chords, they picked the most clichéd one and transformed it like this?
-Didn't they completely change everything except the melody?
-Listening to it, they’re right.
-First off, this is definitely not a money chord;
-Wow, but these chords are seriously fresh.
-What’s hilarious is it sounds just as catchy as a money chord lololol.
-Exactly;;;
-Seriously;;; Is avoiding Canon even possible nowadays?
-He’s an actual god.
-The original composer would feel crushing insecurity if they heard this.
-But they’re shameless—they’d just keep pumping out generic songs for cash anyway lol.
-Honestly, wouldn’t any composer feel inferior hearing this cover? lol Most “composers” nowadays just copy-paste, right? lol
-Deadass lol
By merely altering the chords of an existing melody, Yeonwoo crafted something entirely new, resurrecting forgotten original composers only to get them roasted again. He followed this with his third and fourth releases.
Each masterful arrangement relentlessly humiliated the originators, earning Yoo In the nickname “Composer Sniper.”
-Lololol Which song’s getting sniped next?
-Composers scared of being targeted better smash that upvote button.
-Leni straight-up admitted his version was way better lol.
-The original “Ladies’ Blossom” composer thanked him for enhancing their intended parts beyond expectation lol.
-While lowkey throwing shade at Taein lol.
-They played Taein’s original arrangement too—total roast material lol.
-No but seriously, who’s next?
-The sniped composers’ meltdowns are gold lololol. The “Skygazer” creator was hyperventilating on SNS—so funny lololol.
As the drama fueled more attention, the Hyungnimban Teacher channel’s subscribers and views exploded.
Just weeks after hitting the Silver Button, they hit 600k subs with over a million views per video. The Gold Button was clearly within reach.
With growing clout, more labels and artists clamored for Yoo In’s tracks.
Among them, Jiyoung officially partnered with Yeonwoo and a production company to launch a new album using her received songs.
[HW Entertainment Collaborates with Shin Jiyoung/Yoo In]
[What Exactly Is VVX—the Boy Group Produced by Shin Jiyoung/Yoo In?]
-Aren’t VVX that failed flop group?
-Are my oppas finally getting their redemption arc? T_T I’m sobbing T_T
-…Comments show they’ve got a tiny fandom at least.
-Great visuals but their debut song was trash.
-Choreo was cringe city lololol.
-Weren’t they mocked for that Japanese host bar concept? lololol
-Wait, who’s Shin Jiyoung?
-Daydream’s producer.
-Oh;;; She’s legit established then.
-Nobody thought Daydream would blow up either, but it did.
-With Shin Jiyoung/Yoo In, maybe VVX can survive?
VVX—a group that debuted to pitiful numbers, nearly disbanded after flopping—now grasped a lifeline.
Meanwhile, HW Entertainment, having staked everything on a costly in-house production disaster, handed full control to Shin Jiyoung.
She marched into HW’s offices with Yeonwoo’s freshly arranged track.
“Ugh—Shin Jiyoung’s ruthless. Choosing HW over us?”
BSK’s CEO Kim Beomshin sprawled across his office couch, lamenting. Park Sangcheol eyed him dismissively:
“She’s not even our affiliate. Let her work with HW.”
“Sangcheol—you Team T now? Not even upset? We could’ve collaborated! Daydream needs a comeback!”
“Do you have comeback plans for Daydream?”
“Next year?”
“You expect me to sit around twiddling my thumbs until then? We can just agree to work together next year, can’t we?”
“T, you’re such a T.”
Kim Beom-shin clicked his tongue and stood up.
“At least it’d be nice to get a song from Yoo In-han.”
Park Sung-chul chimed in.
“I heard people who cling to Yoo In-han have to run two laps around the field in double file. Getting a song from him won’t be easy.”
“Who doesn’t know that? But we should at least try! You’re the representative too—aren’t you doing anything? Go out and do some networking!!”
“I was just about to go work.”
“Oh, are you going to see Yoo In-han?”
“No, someone hasn’t been doing their work, so the approval documents are piled up like a mountain. I need to deal with that.”
The someone who wasn’t doing their work—Kim Beom-shin had nothing to say and looked away.
Park Sung-chul chuckled at Kim Beom-shin and tried to leave the office.
Thud.
“Huh!”
At that exact moment, someone swung the door open from outside before Park Sung-chul could.
“Well, well, who do we have here?”
“What? Huh? What’s going on? What brings you here?”
The man who entered was familiar to both of them.
His name was Yoo Jae-hyuk.
He was once called one of the four kings of the music industry alongside Kim Beom-shin.
At first glance, his short hair, sharp features, and sturdy build made him look like a boxer or some kind of athlete.
He quietly looked down at Kim Beom-shin, who was slouching comfortably.
“What’s this? If you come to someone else’s company without notice, shouldn’t you at least say, ‘Hyung, I’m here,’ and greet me?”
Only then did Yoo Jae-hyuk bow his head slightly.
“Tch, as if I should bow down to you. But what brings you here? Weren’t you a hikikomori or something?”
“…….”
Yoo Jae-hyuk silently stared at him before speaking.
“‘Cold Night.’”
The moment they heard his voice, Kim Beom-shin and Park Sung-chul’s eyes widened.
It was a voice that sounded like a growling beast—hoarse and broken.
The Yoo Jae-hyuk who was once called the emperor of rock ballads, effortlessly hitting high notes and three octaves with his shouting technique, was no more.
“‘Cold Night?’ Why?”
“Introduce me to the composer who made that, hyung.”
“Yoo In-han? Why Yoo In-han?”
“If he can revive has-beens, maybe he can save someone like me too.”
“Well… saving you isn’t a job for a composer but for a hospital… Ah, never mind. Sorry. That was uncalled for.”
Yoo Jae-hyuk hated hospitals.
It was a hospital’s misdiagnosis that had completely ruined his voice beyond repair.
“Well, it’s not hard to tell you. But I haven’t contacted that composer Yoo In-han either. Only those who know him do.”
“Who?”
“Shin Ji-young. She’s a composer and producer. Recently, she started a company with Yoo In-han and got some investment from Japan.”
Hearing this, Yoo Jae-hyuk took out his smartphone.
“Address.”
“Huh? Address? Not her number? Ah right, you hate talking on the phone. But is it okay to give this out? Let me get Shin Ji-young’s permission first.”
“…….”
“What? Why? I said I’ll ask her first!”
“Now. Please.”
At those words, Kim Beom-shin’s eyes widened.
“You even said ‘please.’ This must be serious. Alright, I’ll ask her now.”
It wasn’t common for the prideful Yoo Jae-hyuk to ask for help like this.
Was his comeback really that desperate?
Unable to refuse his cherished junior’s request, Kim Beom-shin immediately called Shin Ji-young.
“Yeah? Uh-huh. Got it.”
Kim Beom-shin hung up and spoke to Yoo Jae-hyuk.
“Hey, Shin Ji-young says she can arrange a meeting with her first since Yoo In-han isn’t available directly.”
Yoo Jae-hyuk frowned and sighed.
Well, even Kim Beom-shin hadn’t met him—meeting Shin Ji-young was better than nothing.
“Contact me. By text.”
With that, Yoo Jae-hyuk turned and left the office.
“Hey! Where are you going?! We finally meet after so long—at least have a meal! Hey! And listen! What’s with you young guys and texts?! Just download KakaoTalk already!!”
The departing Yoo Jae-hyuk said nothing.
Kim Beom-shin couldn’t easily tear his gaze away from the spot he had left, filled with regret.
